Garage Tinker, 2022

Our first estate release that garnered numerous accolades in competition has made its triumphant return! Tinker adroitly exhibits the fruit, savory spice, and texture that avid fans of this grape variety covet combined with the complexity and softness which are a Garage hallmark.  Bright with a medium ruby core, this Cabernet Franc opens with notes of dusty gravel, tobacco leaf, black currant leaf, and faded rose which rise in waves as the wine reveals its broodingly multifaceted nature. Lively and fresh on the palate, this medium-bodied beauty unveils understated floral notes of petunia, leading to a mid-palate accented by flavors of dried Bing cherry, ancho chilies, and Italian sweet plum. The texture is layered and unctuous, expressing both ripe fruit and balanced acidity with a crescendo of fully ripe fine tannins. It finishes smooth and soft with lingering hints of sweet sassafras root and cocoa powder.
